Information is Beautiful

October 8th, 2009 — 7:36am

This is not a webware, but Information is Beautiful is as  beautiful as its name. What is Information is beautiful ? It’s a blog. Yes, a blog with thousands of knowledge in it, serves in beautifully drawn graphic.

So who is the author ? it is David McCandless. Here is some information about him taken from his about page.

I’m David McCandless, a London-based author, writer and designer. I’ve written for The Guardian, Wired and others. I’m into anything strange and interesting.

These days I’m an independent visual & data journalist. A passion of mine is for visualizing information – facts, data, ideas, subjects, issues, statistics, questions – all with the minimum of words.

I’m interested in how designed information can help us understand the world, cut through BS and reveal hidden connections, patterns and stories underneath. Or, failing that, it can just look cool!

My pet-hate is pie charts. Love pie. Hate pie-charts.

I’m still in awe for his writings. A very well structured English along with a brief explanation and a chart. That’s why this time, I dedicated this review just for “Information is Beautiful” . Please note that I’m and David McCandless is not related in any way. He doesn’t know me and I only know him for his awesome writings at his blog. THIS IS NOT A PAID REVIEW.

FeedBack

October 7th, 2009 — 8:32pm

I know that Anggackt have a small reader base and keeps getting stagnant response from the internet user, that’s why I need every feedback I could get to make Anggackt a better place. So please help Anggackt out by clicking the Contact link and send me every feedback you may have. Please don’t refrain yourself for any critic you might have.

I’m so sorry for posting something like this rather than reviewing another Web Application. I’ve tried to refrain my self for posting something like this by asking politely to Yahoo Answer Community. Unfortunately, my question was regarded as a violation to the community guidelines and deleted just a few hours from my initial post. I’ve appealed to Yahoo Answer and just hoping that the customer service will hear it and understand it.

But, for the very worst case scenario of them doesn’t approve my appeal, please click the Contact Button and send your feedback. Think of it as reviewing a review blog :)

Thank you in advance,
Anangga Pratama – Anggackt’s Author

Note : The past survey only resulting in 5 Surveyors and 4 of them are a friend of mine.
