PunyPNG is a tool that can help reduce image file size into a considerable amount without any quality loss. With PunyPNG help, an image could be load faster than usual due to the smaller file size.

PunyPNG claims that it can reduce the file size  up to 63% . But that’s from the maker benchmark. Let see how PunyPNG fares against my main desktop tool for image optimization, RIOT.

Both of these tools offered different way for optimizing, PunyPNG will try to do a lossless compression while RIOT will not just compress the image but also have an option to change the color palette.
