Talking with your friends is a fun thing to do, but it’s more fun to be able to find new friends sharing the same ideas and interest just like you. This is where Simler played its important part. Taking a clue from Simler :

Whether you want to discuss one particular topic or meet people that have a lot in commmon with you, Simler provides the easiest way to connect.

I. Landing Page

Simler - Landing Page

What’s Good :

  • The Monkey, I like it a lot :)
  • Clean overall design

What’s Bad :

  • There’s no integrated registration, but that’s minor
  • Is there any activation email ? since I haven’t receive my activation email yet
II. Features

Simler - Features

What’s Good :

  • Shared your conversation to Twitter, Facebook or through Email
  • Support for longer characters, no more 140 limitation
  • One tag per post update, less noise :)
  • Easy to connect to people who shares the same idea with you thanks to the tagging features
  • Read only updates related to the tags you’re joining
  • Search for people with same interest based on geography location*

What’s Bad :

  • Messy transparent PNG support
  • Confusing commenting system. Commenting on a comment will redirect you to a new page, opening a new thread of discussion. It would be better if they make it nested one with a limit.
  • *No international support, as usual, my zip code is being read as Girard,PA
III. Verdict

Simler could be the next big thing on the internet despite of Simler current beta status. Let’s see how’s this monkey goes against the birdie and the book domination in social networking war in the future.
