From a Birdie – Letters Album
FromABirdie allows a group of people to write thoughtful and meaningful letters for a common friend.
One person will create a new Album of Letters and invites others to post their thoughts and photographs for a common friend. From a Birdie keep the letters and pictures on a private website, so that only the intended recipient can see them.
I. Landing Page
The landing page looks simple but it is uses mainly images, so expect a little bit time to load all of the images especially someone with a very slow internet connection.
Click Start a new Album of Letters to start using From a Birdie. It will prompt you with a registration form asking your email address and the recipient email address. After that the registration phase will redirect you to a new page in which will ask for the album delivery information.
II. Dashboard
Check your email address for a secret password you could use for accessing the album dashboard and one more secret password to share among your friends to write down the letters for the album.
III. Features
The main features of writing a letter is done in a very simple yet intuitive interface. You will also be able to upload images to your letter.
While your friends who got the address and password to fill out the album will see a confirmation screen where they have to input the password given first before they can start writing their own letter.
After the delivery time passed, the recipient of the album of letters will receive an email that notify him/her about the album along with a password to access it. With it the recipient could access the album and see the wonderful letters in a nice interface.
The recipient could also send a thank you note to all the letter writers who leaved their email address. But unfortunately, From a Birdie doesn’t give you a from for that, instead it will use a standard mailto: method. Note that From a Birdie will delete the album after 60 days.
IV. Verdict
From a Birdie is a very useful application for giving a surprise album of letters in the occasions of but not limited to graduations, birthday, farewell, and even for letters to welcome a new family to a neighborhood.
It’s simple interface and easy navigation along with an amazing concept could be an indication that one day From a Birdie will be a successful webware.
