Plocky – Gather Your eLife
Plocky provides a one-stop-shop to see all of your social network profiles in one place, notifies you of major events – whose birthday is coming up, who added or removed you and assists you in migrating from one social network to the other.
I. Landing Page
A very well designed landing page. There’s no need for manual registration since Plocky provides you with various integrated registration. Just choose your favorite network and click log-in. Currently Plocky supports :
- Friendster
- Hyves
- MySpace
- Orkut
- Partuza
- Plaxo
II. Dashboard
Once done you will brought to your dashboard and welcome to the world of “Literally Multilingual” since you could read some Dutch in there combined with some English.
III. Features
Almost all the features could already be seen on the dashboard, such as adding a new network, email, set your alert preferences, new and old (I guess old here means ex-Friend) friends, birthday and friend list. You could also make a private notes which is useful if you want to remind your self about certain vital data about someone or some group.
You could also export your contact to downloadable Excel file.
IV. Verdict
I haven’t test Plocky much due to the confusing language mix-match, but as far as I can see, Plocky could be a very useful tools for exporting contact to Excel file and (this is just my assumption) an ability to import the contact list to your mail contact list. I just hope the next time I tried out Plocky, there’s no more language mix-match so that I could truly understand the navigation.
UPDATE : Clicking the flag button and re-choosing English will completely change the language into English, no more mix-match. Unfortunately, when you tried to interact with some instance, some of the language will revert back into Dutch.
