ViewLikeUs – Web Resolution Check
ViewLikeUs is a web application that could check any websites in various screen resolution and of course without the need to change your screen resolution.
ViewLikeUs is different from BrowserShot , since BrowserShot gives you a screenshot of a website in various environment with detailed precision using various servers spread around the world, ViewLikeUs is a synthetic simulation whereas you won’t need to wait for server queue and you could directly interact with the simulation.
I. Landing Page
Simply put, I totally don’t like the design at all, but perhaps ViewLikeUs function could cover up the lack of eye-candy in it. One thing noted is that the navigation is easy to understand and doesn’t require a step-by-step help.
II. Dashboard
Since there’s no registration needed and a straight forward landing page, there’s no need for a dashboard.
III. Features
ViewLikeUs currently supported screen resolution simulation :
- iPhone
- Nintendo Wii
- 800×600
- 1024×768 (default)
- 1152×864
- 1280×800
- 1400×900
- 1600×1200
- 1920×1200

IV. Verdict
ViewLikeUs is a good alternative if you want to check any website across many screen resolution. But as the type of the simulation implies, synthetic, you could never count on ViewLikeUs to check cross-browser and screen resolution compatibility for precise result. As for the time being, I still believe in BrowserShot method more for testing out website compatibility.
But if you want to speed-test the website and can’t be patient enough to wait for BrowserShot queue, ViewLikeUs is your main answer, a lightning fast synthetic screen resolution simulator.
