Escape My Date – Save Yourself
Have you ever stuck in an awkward situation with your date or even the community and hoping that a phone call will arrive so that you can pretend to have some important business somewhere else ? Well, Escape My Date, a third party Twitter apps now provide that kind of thing.
I. Landing Page
Once arrived at the landing page, you will be greeted with two input box that you will need to fill to complete a registration phase. The registration itself is easy to do since there’s a connection to Twitter obviously. So worry not, you don’t have to fill in your data again aside from your phone number and email address.
After done with the registration, you will be asked to choose your friend(s) for helping your precious escape.
II. Dashboard
Cute dashboard, anything else need to be done here ? Nothing, just move forward to the next thing, testing out the phone call feature.
III. Features
Whenever you are in need of a help from Escape My Date, you will only have to direct message them through Twitter and Escape My Date will automatically notify your friends for calling you out through Twitter. What will happened if none of your friends read the notification ? Escape My Date promise is to call you directly through their automated system if there are no respond in 5 Minutes.
So let’s try it out, I’m going to direct message Escape My Date asking for help or at least tried since they don’t follow me yet. How come I can direct message them if they don’t following me, logically speaking.
After spending a few minutes, there is still no message from Escape My Date to my fiancee (she’s acting as the helper) Twitter’s account. There is something wrong in here, and I decided to opened their Twitter account page which resulting in this announcement by Twitter.
They have been suspended by Twitter.
IV. Verdict
Do not register to this service yet, I assure you. Wait until Twitter said they are safe to use and not suspicious anymore. Tell your friends to refrain themselves to give out their private phone number to a service that Twitter consider suspicious. Wait until Twitter give a green signal, and then you can started to use the service again.
No link to their service until Twitter gave a green light to their account and that they are actually a safe service to use.
