This is not just an alternative to downforeveryoneorjustme.com. DownorNot is now my main site availability checker tools and downforeveryoneorjustme.com is now my alternative for second opinion. Aside from more attractive design, the transparency of how they do the checking is making me feels very trusting to their service. Not to mention the feedback button available there :)
