DoodleSource – Google’s Logo
The title supposed to be Google’s Logo Archive. Argh, I wish I didn’t make any policy on how I wrote an article, especially the title length. Oh well, anyway, DoodleSource is a place for Google’s logo collector to come and enjoy the collection there.
Why ? Read more below :)
I.Landing Page
I think the landing page already explain what DoodleSource is. Yes, it is a site dedicated to archiving every Google’s logo from anywhere around the world.
So how does this service needs a review ? This is a very interesting service, and extremely good for knowledge, especially if you are a Google’s logo fan. And in my dictionary, any website that can gives you enough curiosity to open and read and/or interact, is awesome and needs to be spread all around the world, even with Anggackt’s tiny traffic :) .
II. Features
Currently , only the newer Google’s logos were archived. But it doesn’t means that it will ends up just like that. Even with a very small archived logos, you will find it more than enough to browse the site. Not to mention interesting doodles I found there. Here is some example
Google Japan :
Google Germany :
Google Vietnam :
I would never ever know that a Doraemon Google’s Logo exist if not for this service. So my opinion is that this service is great and I do hope it will still exist even when Google’s not updating its doodles again, just for archival purpose. One negative comment from me is that the archive navigation is so confusing since there is so much doodle’s duplicate everywhere. I just hope that the team behind DoodleSource could merge all duplicated doodles into one nifty block.
Visit DoodleSource here and learn Google’s Doodles history :)

Hello, thanks for posting about us.
Theres a trick behind Doodle Source, since the title of the doodle is the search query and everything is automated i still couldn't figure out a way to merge all those doodles.
As an example you can see http://www.doodlesource.com/en/google which is the doodle of the google 11th birthday with the same name.
Anyways, thanks a lot!

Hi Pablo,
Thanks for coming here! . I see so it's using the title as the query, I guess it won't be possible to merge it automatically.
The best thing I could think of right now is to merge it based from 2-3 First letter, but it is extremely prone to miss-merge and can't support non-latin characters.
Would it be possible to parse the title first to Google Translate and then tried to merge it based on the probability of same title ? I don't know since I'm not that tech-savvy :)
Thanks again for coming to this tiny blog and even comment on it, Pablo :)
