ThankfulFor – Say Thanks

September 17th, 2009 — 3:55pm | Author : Anangga Pratama

Ever wish to have your own journal dedicated to say your gratitude towards anything in this world ? ThankfulFor is there for you.

So what is ThankfulFor anyway ? Here is a brief explanation from the official website :

It’s your personal gratitude journal. It’s also a collective gratitude journal, for all of us. Because the more gratitude floating around this universe, the better.

Okay, honestly, I think this is a weird concept. A dedicated gratitude journal, but hey, who knows what will this web app be in a few years or months from now ? It could be the next big thing.

So, here I am, trying to find out, what kind of web app ThankfulFor is.

The landing page loading time is fast even on my internet connection. And to tell you the truth, I love the landing page so much that I hardly find any flaw in it. It’s simple, soft colored style is an eye-feast, at least for me.

By having a connection to Twitter’s making the registration process a breeze. So let’s try registering through Twitter and see further deep down, what ThankfulFor is.

The registration is done, and here we are on the dashboard.

Hey, there’s a post to Twitter option, let’s try that out, make a gratitude and post it to Twitter.

What else it could do ? that’s all. No characters counter so that it could matched twitter’s 140 character limit is really breaking me down. And no other special thing when added to twitter aside from that thankfulfor tag is another let down, I prefer to add the tag on my own and not opened a new website just to say thanks to post it on Twitter with just a tag added. And there is no possibility for me to reply on the public thanks!  So for me…sorry, but this is just another “Meh” web apps for me. But nice design! I like it. I am thankful for the Design.

    Hi Anangga,

Thanks so much for the review of Thankfulfor. We just launched last week, so right now it's in a very simple beta stage. We'll be adding more features, such as replying to others, posting your #thankfulfor from Twitter and other sites, and much more as soon as possible. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions and thanks again for checking it out.

    Cheers!

    Hi Jen,

Yes, I do realized that ThankfulFor is a new service, and that's why I hope my review could make ThankfulFor be a better service in the future. I do have some suggestion hint in my review up above, and I also got some other question I would like to ask you as ThankfulFor representative.

Thank you for your generous time to checking out my humble blog :)
