Glomming – Advice for All
Sometimes I would really like to ask for some serious advice through Yahoo Answers or any other “Asking for Answer” site. But I found something lack from those services, moderation and ofcourse, a serious answer.
It is not uncommon to see people just simply giving out their referral link as an answer to a question that doesn’t even have anything to do with his referral link. Or for back-link purpose, writing-in his blog address that once again, doesn’t have anything to do with the question. Or just simply flaming.
Glomming, on the other hand, using a column system, just like what you usually read on a Newspaper or Magazine. You can sign up as a columnist to share your expertise or even experience to help other people in need.
Or if you want to ask a columnist about something , just click the ASK button in your preferred column and write down your question without the need of registration, and that means, you can be anonymous.
And since they do not have any column with Inter-Faith / Inter-Race relationship, I decided not to test the asking feature. I don’t want to spam this nice web app with question that doesn’t even mean any business for me. But this is a bookmarked one on my list, just in case one day, someone would opened an Inter-Faith / Inter-Race relationship column, there is way too much I want to ask in this field, especially with the legal things all around the globe.
Maybe if one of you who have an experience and/or expertise in that field reading my blog, I beg you to open that column. Or if you do know someone, please let them know that Glomming is there, waiting them to open that column.
My conclusion about this service is that Glomming would provide a pretty much same environment as asking advice in a Newspaper column. And eventhough one can not determine the capability/credibility of the columnist *hint for a flag system/voting system for a column*, it is still nice to have someone to hear you seriously, rather than having some random dude posting a link that doesn’t even have any connection to your question.
I don’t test the moderation feature (if there is any) yet since I am the one who in need of consultation rather the one who giving advice.
