Woofer – The Anti-Twitter
I was just woke up a half hour ago when I stumbled into a very interesting post by the WebWare team. It’s about a service that parodied twitter right to the core. It’s called Woofer.
So what is this Woofer thing ? this is extracted right from the website itself :
Woof·er n., v., adj., adv., prep., etc.
When 140 characters is not nearly enough.
Yes, when 140 characters is not enough. A direct homage to twitter 140 characters limit. So I thought, “Hey, that means they can give me 255 Characters at least”. Until I saw 1400 Characters in the post box. And so I thought again, naively, “Hey, This is way too cool!! 1400 Characters limit!!” and that’s where my biggest mistake begins.
Woofer encourage you to be a full fledged barking dog, literally. That 1400 Characters I mentioned above is NOT the maximum characters you can post. It is the minimum characters that you HAVE to post.
I was laughed a lot when I saw that minimum requirement there , but wait, that is not all, what people posted in Woofer is a guaranteed material that will make you spit out your saliva a lot to your screen since they are as funny as you could imagine.
I couldn’t bring myself to posted at least 1400 characters in Woofer. I really don’t know what else I have to say. My English is limited, and my brain is a like an old Ford V8 driven by Bonny and Clyde after the shootout. And this is a problem encountered not just by me, but by a lot more people resulting in a post that looks approximately like this :
So, Are you ready to Woof the Tweet ? or perhaps, if that’s way too hard for you (aside from adding penises to meet the minimum requirement), to Tweet the Woof ?
